A Digital Communications Professional.

 

Kylie Carpenter is a Digital Communications Professional and is currently serving as the Deputy Staff Director of the Congressional Communications Standards Commission under the Committee on House Administration Democrats. She works with House Democrats to develop and grow their own full-scale digital strategies across various platforms. Kylie has served as the Communications Director and a Board Member of the Democratic Digital Staff Association, a member of the Women in Digital Association, a member of the Congressional Disabled Staff Association, and an instructor with the Congressional Digital Academy.

Before joining the Commission, Kylie was the Media Producer/Digital Strategist for Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal. While there, she built an effective and strategic program for a high-profile member of Congress by leveraging targeted data analytics. She grew the Congresswoman’s social media presence by over 50% within a five month period.

Kylie has worked in House, Senate, and Leadership offices on Capitol Hill. She has also done campaign work for a Presidential election, a Governor’s race, a House seat, and two national PACs. Prior to her political work, Kylie completed research and legislative work for a Fortune 500 tech company.

Kylie received her Master’s in Legislative Affairs from the George Washington University and a Bachelor’s in History and Legal Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a certificate in Data for Congress from the University of California, Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy. She is originally from California’s San Francisco Bay Area, is an avid reader, and has a strong opinion on font choices.
